Newcastle Real Estate

Newcastle is a Seattle suburb in Kings County, Washington. It is highly regarded by Washington residents as one of the best places to live in Washington. The city is densely populated with a census count of about 10,000 people in 2010. Its public schooling system is reputable, and housing is very affordable, and more homes are owned than rented. There are a lot of coffee shops and parks. The city is bordered to the south by Renton and to the west by Lake Washington. It is a mere 17-minute drive from Seattle and offers a view of Cougar Mountain.

The city is famous for its golf course, which is a 36-hole complex course, spanning 350 acres of land. It features two 18-hole golf courses known as the China and Coal Creeks. While at the course, views of Mount Rainier, Lake Washington and the Cascade ranges, as well as downtown Seattle, abound. The city ranks high as one of the safest places to live per CNN Money’s 2011 rating. Unlike most densely populated places, Newcastle is relatively quiet and, like other cities in the Seattle metropolitan area, has hiking trails for outdoor recreation. Grocery stores, strip malls, and gas stations are strategically positioned, and you don’t need to go outside the city to get your shopping needs. On the festive front, the city pulls together annually in September for a community festival with food, music, and games for all.
