    Skykomish is a town in King County, Washington. It gets its name from the Skykomish River Valley, which is located nearby. The city was initially founded as a railroad town but is now a stopping point for tourists and travelers looking for recreational access to its surrounding mountains and skiing facilities. The city is known for its outdoor recreation and tourism, housing the entrance to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. It is a small town with a population of 198 people at the last census in 2010.
